whilst the renovation started some months earlier with the extraction of majority of the interior of the house (videos 1F and 2F), the fact that some aspects of construction has taken place for us means that the renovation project has really begun, albeit being closure of the openings of original fireplaces at ground floor level.
we did think about keeping both fireplaces and restoring them providing key features of the house However, given the size of both fireplaces and the redesign of the internal layout we decided that the removal of both fireplaces was the better option
